Pinwheel Roundabout BOM

Hi Everyone and Welcome to My Blog,

I wanted to show off our Quilt Club’s May blocks on our Pinwheel Roundabout Pattern from Marti Mitchell.

May’s block was called Echoes.  I pulled the fabrics that were already precut for ease and quickness.

I then used the templates and cut the fabric according to the instructions.

The corners and sides of the blocks pieced with the middle square.

Finally, the block finished.

Here are block’s from others in my club.

The linky parties I usually participate in can be found by clicking this link.  Please visit them and see what others are up to leave some comments and encouragement.  There are many bloggers out there who share their tips, projects, and tutorials to inspire us.

That’s all for now.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Hello Cherie; The block that you made is lovely with the fabrics you chose. Plus, the other quilters all seem to have great choices in fabric also. I have been quilting for over 13 years now and still am not confident in my fabric choices. Yet, everyone who receives a quilt from me seems to think they are beautiful. LOL. I truly enjoy reading posts and seeing quilt blocks and quilts being made by others so I end up spending way to much time on the computer. Thank you for sharing your quilting and have a superb day!

    1. Hi Brenda, I have a hard time choosing colors also. In this case, I had help with the associate at the quilt shop and just chose what was already in the color ways listed in the pattern. Of course it wasn’t the exact fabric. Not very creative I know, but oh well. I love to see the same blocks in the other colors and how different they look.

      1. Hi Gwynette, Each template set is around $20 over here. I’ve always just did HST’s and such but the possibilities with these are endless. Thanks, Cherie

  3. I find Marty Michell’s templates very accurate when cut precisely. Unfortunately I don’t always line up the template correctly. That being said, I still like using them! Your block is beautiful!

  4. I’ve never tried the Marti Mitchell templates. They look like they make piecing accurately a bit easier. Your block is so pretty – lovely fabric choices! Thanks for sharing your block on Main Crush Monday!

    1. Hi Susan, This is the first year I’ve joined the local quilt club. I’m enjoying doing the quilt together with everyone else. We are going to have a big reveal party once it’s done. I need to participate in more blog hops for the same reason. It always seem though that I’m involved with a project I don’t want to put down when one I’m interested in comes up.
      Thanks, Cherie
