Stained Glass Quilt Reveal

April OMG

Hi Everyone Welcome to My Blog,

I’ve accomplished my One Monthly Goal for April and I’m excited to show you.  I’ve been working on my stained glass quilt and practicing walking foot quilting.  You can see a recap of the process here.

So today I’m ready to reveal the finished quilt.  I’m so pleased with the results.  This is my favorite quilt yet.  I hope you like it as well.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  I’m off to Festival International in Lafayette, LA where I hope to hear some fantastic music and dance the day away.  They also have a huge craft show with at least fifty vendors.  This festival draws a huge crowd from all over the world.  I wish you could join me.  Maybe next year.

The linky parties I usually participate in can be found by clicking this link.  Please visit them and see what others are up to.  There are many bloggers out there who share their tips, projects, and tutorials to inspire us.

That’s all for now.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Cherie, your quilt just glows. It’s beautiful!!! I finally have my ombré fabrics collected and I’ve studied the photos on your blog. (I’ve not been able to track down that magazine issue, so I’ll wing it!!) I hope mine turns out half as beautiful as yours!!! Love your quilt under the live oaks!

We lived in Lafayette for a while in 1969 and I’m sure it’s changed. We were there when hurricane Camille threatened that area, but turned east to Mississippi and caused much devastation.

    1. Hi Gwynette,
I’m sure your quilt will be lovely. It was easy to do. Do you have a blog or instagram so I can see your creations?
I’ve lived here for 46 years and lived through quite a few hurricanes. Luckily I haven’t had any major distruction. I’ve lost some roof shingles and a couple downed trees. It is always scary when they head this way.

      1. I’m not into social media, but maybe can email photos to you, if that’s okay. I have a couple of gifts to finish for my daughters before I “allow” myself to begin this project. I’m happy to have the fabrics to caress…LOL!!!

    1. Hi Liz,
If you click the link to my process you can see some of the quilting close up. I couldn’t get a good picture of the quilting on the whole quilt. I need a better camera I suppose. Most likely though I’m not that good at photography. Still learning.

  2. I really love this. I would like to do something like it. I’ve looked and looked at the picture.
Is there some sort of pattern, or did you “wing it”?
