Hi Everyone,
I’ve been working on my stained glass quilt for a while. This month I intend on finishing it. My son has expressed a liking so it will be gifted to him.
I found the pattern in a Fons and Porter Magazine. The colors just blew me away.
I thought the pattern would be more difficult than it was. It clearly indicated how many and size strips I needed to cut from these lovely ombre fabrics. The blocks came together quite easily.
I sewed the quilt top together and was very pleased with the results.
I used remnants for the backing to show off the fabric in its full ombre glory.
I’ve been quilting this using my walking foot. A different design in each block. It has been a long process of turning the quilt in each direction. I’ve put it on hold for a while during the holiday and to give my shoulders a rest.
The linky parties I usually participate in can be found by clicking this link. Please visit them and see what others are up to. There are many bloggers out there who share their tips, projects, and tutorials to inspire us.
That’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by.

The colours you used are amazing, no wonder your son wants this quilt. I’m interested in how you have been machine quilting with your walking foot, it looks very smart.

Hi Jenny,
Thanks. I’ve been marking the center line of each design and sewing back and forth until I get three lines. Each a quarter inch from the center.
