Hi Everyone,
I’m pleased to say that this month I have achieved my goal. I joined Roseanne’s Regatta QAL a little late. It was a no pressure QAL in which there were no time limits so I didn’t feel like I had to rush to catch up. It seemed like it was an easy pattern from Block M Quilts so I joined in the party.
It took me a while to decide on my fabric, but after looking around I chose a nice jelly rolls with colors that I liked.
I got to work and cut my white strips and started sewing them together.
My goal was to finish the quilt top and here you have it.
I am still considering what color to back it with. My favorite thoughts are either the lavender or the sea green. My quilt club meeting is in a few days and we get 20% off on those days so I will see what my choices are.
I also have already been thinking about the quilting. My thoughts are on a pattern I saw on Jackie Gering Craftsy Class. It is a walking foot pattern that just “gently curves” from each side of the strips. If I sew it four times alternating from side to side I am hopeful it will look like a braided line. More on this later…
The linky parties I usually participate in can be found by clicking this link. Please visit them and see what others are up to. There are many bloggers out there who share their tips, projects, and tutorials to inspire us.
That’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by.
Cherie
The top is beautiful! I like your braided quilting idea, too.

Thanks, I’ve cut out a template to mark the quilt for the braided lines.
