OMG March

Hi Everyone,

I received a wonderful text this morning on my way in to work. I’m so excited and looking forward to having it back in prime working order.

Maybe now that I will be reunited with my machine this evening, we can spend some special time getting reacquanited.  It is two weeks ago today that I brought it in.  It almost feels like I was without a limb.  Maybe I’m being a little dramatic, but I’m really happy to have it back.  I will be able have good forward progress on my quilting activities.

My goal for March is to have my Regatta quilt top put together.  I sewed a couple of strips wrong this weekend and had to spend an afternoon picking some very long strips.  They are two WOF each.

I other thing I’d like to focus on this month is getting the Stained Glass Quilt quilted.  I don’t want a finish on this to be my goal because it may be a bit much.  I’ve done some walking foot quilting on it already and mentioned that I’d like to try a different design in each sized block.

Vivian at Bronx Quilter suggested that I take Jackie Gering Craftsy classes on walking foot quilting and read Mary Mashuta’s books on the same subject.  I’m now armed with many ideas to use on my Stained Glass quilt.  I can’t wait to show you my results.

The linky parties I usually participate in can be found by clicking this link.  Please visit them and see what others are up to.  There are many bloggers out there who share their tips, projects, and tutorials to inspire us.

That’s all for now.  Thanks for stopping by.

  4. I’m so bad about getting my sewing machine serviced because I really hate to be without it. I’m so glad though that you and your beloved Janome will soon be reunited! Can’t wait to see your progress on Regatta and that lovely Stained Glass quilt. Thanks for linking up to Wednesday Wait Loss!
