Stained Glass Blocks

Hi Everyone,

My goal for February is to complete the quilting for my Stained Glass Window quilt.

Square folded fabric and pattern1

These were my fabric choices I discussed earlier.  I’ve cut the fabric into strips and have begun making the blocks.  They are going together quite nicely.  I do like strip quilts.  All the mindless straight lines sooth me.  In this pattern, it instructs to sew certain size strips together with the black borders and then cut to specified sizes.  Turn some and sew them together as a block.  It’s very simple and doesn’t need corners or points to match.

I’ve been envying my friends (Roseanne and Peggy) who are hosting the Regatta QAL.  I wonder if they’d let me join late, once I was able to find the fabric that tickles me.  I’ve been keeping an eye out for some.  I’ve liked the one’s in the blues, greens and pastels shown on the blog.

The linky parties I usually participate in can be found by clicking this link.  Please visit them and see what others are up to.  There are many bloggers out there who share their tips, projects, and tutorials to help us through ours.

That’s all for now.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cherie

  1. We would love to have you join us for the Regatta Quilt Along. Everyone is sewing at their own pace and I am still poking along. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Roseanne has really been good at keeping the quilts posted on her page.

  2. Love the colors you’ve chosen for this! It will really look like a stained glass window when done. I say go ahead and join the fun! The Regatta quilts look easy and beautiful. You’ll regret it I think if you don’t make it now that you’ve found a fabric you like. Thanks for linking up to Wednesday Wait Loss!
