Ombré Fabrics

Hi Everyone,

Take a look at these wonderful fabrics. I’ve always been fond of ombre’s.  I guess it’s being a child of the 70’s.  I’m going to cut it up and plan on doing a Grandma’s Window Quilt.  It will give it a stained glass effect.  I can’t wait to get started.  I anticipate I’ll have some blocks to show off next week.

Fabric opened and pattern3

The weather has been crazy here.  It’s 20 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday and 70 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.  I actually had to turn the air conditioner on.  It was so humid and stuffy.  I was ironing so it didn’t help.

I hear the flu is going around.  There’s couple of people missing from work due to it.  I hope it stays away from me.  There wasn’t as many people at church yesterday and I wonder if some are scared to be in the public.

I was at my Mom’s Friday evening and found it warm in her house so much that I was flushing.  She looked at me as though I had the plague.  I told her not to worry, I don’t think I’m sick.

The weather is also doing a number to our cars.  My timing chain is being replaced and my son’s transmission wasn’t working well during the cold.  He says that it’s running better now that it’s warmed up.  I hope it was just the cold otherwise, he may be having a car note soon.

The linky parties I usually participate in can be found by clicking this link.  Please visit them and see what others are up to.  There are many bloggers out there who share their tips, projects, and tutorials to help us through ours.

Thanks for stopping by.  That’s all for now.

  1. Hi Cherie,
Beautiful ombre fabrics and the colors are so saturated. They will look great in the stained glass pattern. I cannot wait to see those as you progress. ~smile~ Roseanne

      1. Thanks for the magazine info. Just my luck…..I get 5 quilt magazines and that’s not one of them…LOL!!!

  2. Beautiful fabric, and I cannot wait to see how you use it in your project! I hope the weather gets better, it has been crazy indeed, but let’s hope the worst is behind us!
