Hunter’s Star Progress

Hi Everyone,

I’m making progress on my Hunter’s Star quilt.  I’ve finish all the assorted color parts of my stars and working on the red ones now.  I have half of them done then I just needed to step away.  My eyes were crossing.

I have few days of vacation this week from Wednesday on, in which I plan on giving finishing the quilt a good go.  I am confident that I can do it if nothing distracts me.  I have a few things on my to do list but it shouldn’t be a problem.  All I will have left to quilt after the stars are finished are the borders.  I’m going to simplify this by just doing some straight line walking foot quilting on it.  I should be able to zip through it.  Take a look at a bigger piece of the quilt.

I got a new supervisor in September.  My previous one was transferred to Paris, France.  She had to pack up her things and move.  She left me a few gifts before she went.  She had tickets to the Cirque du Soleil Crystal.  We went to the event on Thursday evening and had a great time.  Some parts were on ice skates and others they had some special shoes to walk on the ice.  I snapped some pictures for you to see.

  1. Your Hunter’s Star quilt is beautiful! Our LQS did a demonstration last week on making the HS blocks – that’s the first time I have seen them. I’m looking forward to seeing your quilt when all the quilting is finished. Thanks for sharing your quilt on Main Crush Monday!
